June 9, 2026
In the coming months, we're running an Automation Sprint to build a faster, smarter OS Hub. Here's what to expect for your data submissions.
What's changing?
In the coming months, we're running a focused automation sprint: a dedicated period where our technical teams will be heads-down improving how data submissions are processed on OS Hub. As a result, any data submitted to OS Hub between Monday, June 29th and Friday, August 7th 2026 will take longer than usual to go live on the platform: at least 6 additional weeks beyond our standard timelines.
The submission types affected are:
- Uploading a list of production locations
- Adding a single production location
- Claiming or updating a production location profile
Please note: in some cases, single location and claims submissions may be processed automatically and more quickly, but we cannot guarantee this in advance.
Who is not affected?
The following will continue to be processed under standard timelines during this period:
- Embedded Map users: your submissions will be reviewed within 5 business days as usual.
- Spotlight partners: data contributions through the Spotlight program will not be affected.
- API users: data submitted via the API will not be affected by the extended timelines.
- Urgent submissions: if you have a time-sensitive need, please submit your request via this form. We will review every request and do our best to accommodate faster processing during this period where we can.
Why the extended timelines?
As a nonprofit, we operate differently from large or venture-backed tech companies: we can't always innovate and run at full capacity at the same time. This sprint is us making a deliberate investment in OS Hub's future. Our technical teams will be focused on automating key parts of the data submission and review process: improving data quality across the platform and, over time, significantly speeding up how quickly your submissions are reviewed and published. A faster, more reliable OS Hub for everyone.
What should you plan for?
If you're planning to upload or update your data, we'd encourage you to submit before June 29th where possible. If you do submit during the longer processing window, please factor in the extended timeline when planning any downstream work that depends on your data being live on OS Hub.
