Updates and new features are regularly developed and released on Open Supply Hub, often based on feedback from users like you. Read what was included in the most recently released set of changes.
Here’s what you can expect from the most recent updates to Open Supply Hub:
Interaction Updates
- OS Hub is in the process of building a workflow on opensupplyhub.org that will allow contributors with a small number of production locations to submit them directly through a form on the website, rather than creating a list to upload. This project is known internally as Single Location Contribution (SLC) because the form is set up to accept one location per submission through the form. Any number of locations can be submitted by submitting the form multiple times; in practice, we expect that if a contributor wants to upload more than 10 or so locations, uploading via a list may make more sense.
- Note: This feature will be turned off using a feature flag until the entire workflow is completed. This release includes a portion of the workflow that is designed to allow users to search for an existing entry in the OS Hub database that they want to contribute data to.
Refactoring, Automation, and Architecture Changes:
- OS Hub is in the process of developing the v1/production-locations endpoint, which will support GET and POST calls for downloading data and uploading production locations to OS Hub as well as provide expanded search functionality. With the introduction of this new API will come a change to how OS Hub moderates data. Instead of API users needing to make confirm or reject decisions about potential matches, the OS Hub Data team will complete these actions. The additional supporting endpoint v1/moderation-events is being developed to provide users with information about the moderation status of their data.
- Included in this release: API documentation for the v1/moderation-events endpoint that will provide moderation status for data uploaded via API or list.
