Why is OS Hub hosting this directory?

OS Hub hosts supply chain facility data that is used by many different stakeholders, including workers, trade unions, civil society organisations, researchers, companies, and policymakers.

Through our engagement with different stakeholders, we have heard that users want to identify and contact trade unions in a specific country or sector. For example, a worker may need support with a workplace grievance, a researcher may want to speak with local union representatives, or a company may want to engage with trade unions as part of its due diligence or remediation efforts.

Because trade unions often work across multiple facilities, sectors, and regions, this information is not always best placed on a single facility profile. OS Hub is therefore hosting this directory page as a separate, non-exhaustive resource to help users more easily find relevant trade union contacts, as well as partnering with unions to host relevant datasets directly in Open Supply Hub for even greater access and collaboration.
