HeatWatch produces decision-relevant research rooted in lived realities, combining data, research, and community knowledge to generate actionable insights that strengthen advocacy and inform decision-making for policymakers, businesses, and allied actors.

- Minimum temperature (C): The daily minimum temperature at the coordinates nearest to the facility.
- Maximum temperature (C): The daily maximum temperature at the coordinates nearest to the facility.
- Average humidity (%): The daily average relative humidity at the coordinates nearest to the facility, computed as a simple average of the daily minimum and maximum humidity values.
- Measurement date: The calendar date to which the temperature and humidity data refer.
- HeatWatch facility profile: A link to the facility's profile on HeatWatch's dashboard, where additional information and data for other time periods can be explored.

It is intended solely as a research and risk‑screening tool for investors and supply chain teams rather than a prediction of legal liability.

Methodology
Planet Tracker's PFAS Litigation Risk Score combines five weighted components — company PFAS activity, country regulation, sector profile, area pollution and population concentration — into a dynamic weighted average. Facilities are identified from EPA TRI/TSCA CDR, the EU PFAS Data Hub and Panjiva trade data, then mapped to public-company parents via GLEIF, OpenCorporates and FactSet. Indicator selection was reviewed with practicing lawyers for legal relevance; weights reflect expert judgement, not a statistical backtest. Coverage
The data on OS Hub cover PFAS litigation risk scores for 3,112 facilities across the PFAS-relevant manufacturing, chemicals, and consumer goods sectors, concentrated in the United States and Europe.
Update frequency
Updated periodically, typically one time per year; scores represent a point-in-time snapshot.
