Data Moderator - Contract (Remote)
About Open Supply Hub
Open Supply Hub (OS Hub) is a free and open data tool mapping retail supply chain facilities worldwide and allocating a unique ID to each. The tool is used by stakeholders across many sectors to eliminate confusion and facilitate collaboration, enable interoperability across systems and tackle the long-standing problem of facility identification. We are built on the principles of "open": open data, open communications patterns, openness to ideas and new ways of working. We are a mission-driven organization and respect and value our stakeholders - they make OS Hub what it is: a tool enabling collaboration across retail sectors.
OS Hub is currently at an exciting period in its growth and development and is looking for a Data Moderator focused on increasing and maintaining data quality and supporting the growth of an open data, geospatial tool within the context of a rapidly expanding global nonprofit. Ideally, this contractor is familiar working with mission-driven organizations and has a desire to use their skills to democratize global supply chain data and accelerate the progress towards addressing intractable issues that exist in supply chains - issues like modern day slavery and environmental degradation.
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Data Moderator to work with our team. The ideal person will have experience with data management, data processing, and/or data analysis. As a Data Moderator contractor, you will be responsible for reviewing and processing data related to facilities in global supply chains. In addition, you will follow and implement best practices in reviewing and labeling data to ensure that our moderation and labeling efforts improve and maintain high data quality and support future feature development. This is a part-time consultancy position and is perfect for contractors/freelancers with expertise in and a passion for data.
OS Hub is committed to creating an inclusive and representative environment. All qualified individuals will receive consideration without regard to race, color, religion, gender, gender identity or expression, sexual orientation, national origin, genetics, disability, age, or veteran status.

Collaborating with the Data and Engineering teams to support development and testing of ML models and other features as necessary.
Monitoring data quality, identifying trends and making recommendations for process improvements as needed, such as implementing data quality checks, data governance policies, and ensuring data accuracy and completeness.
Staying up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in data management and analysis as well as new developments in global supply chains and regulations that impact supply chains.
After a period of training and onboarding to relevant materials, delivery of the above elements is expected continuously throughout the agreement.
